Brooklyn Slate Debuts Hexagonal Coasters

For Immediate Release

BROOKLYN, NEW YORK — August 5, 2016 — Brooklyn Slate is pleased to announce the release of its Slate Geometric Coaster, a set of four coasters cut into hexagons from New York slate. This is the first new slate product from the company since the debut of its round board for Holiday 2014.

The new coasters represent a departure from the more rustic offering of the company’s current lineup. The coasters are saw cut on the sides to produce a finish that’s clean, contemporary, and smooth to the touch.

"We set out to create a new product that’s modern and all natural," states Sean Tice, a co-founder of Brooklyn Slate. "The design itself is very sleek and precise, but each coaster showcases its own unique stratifications and subtle variations in color. The Geometric Coaster makes a great addition to any food or drink lover’s tabletop."

The coasters come in sets of four and are backed with cork. They are available at brooklynslate.com and in store from select retailers beginning August 22.

Brooklyn Slate Company is a manufacturer of slate cheese boards, coasters, and serving tools designed to bring loved ones around the table. All goods are manufacted in the United States.
